Individualised approach
VIEW stands for Vranch House Individual Education and Wellbeing. It is a bespoke curriculum created specifically for our pupils, all of whom have significant physical difficulties and complex medical needs.
Holistic focus
Unlike traditional curricula, VIEW balances academic learning with physical, social, emotional, and therapeutic development.
Flexible design
It adapts to each child's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring that teaching and therapy are seamlessly integrated.
How VIEW Works at Vranch House
Every pupil follows a tailored programme that reflects their abilities, interests, and long-term goals.
Physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy, and assistive communication are embedded into the curriculum.
VIEW recognises and values achievements across all areas of development, whether academic milestones, communication breakthroughs, or physical independence.
From early years through to young adulthood, the curriculum provides consistent support and progression.
Why VIEW Matters
The VIEW Curriculum is more than a framework — it is a philosophy. It ensures that every day at Vranch House is meaningful, purposeful, and fun, while preparing pupils for life beyond school. By combining education with wellbeing, we empower children to thrive, achieve their potential, and enjoy learning in a safe, supportive environment.

AQA Unit Awards
At Vranch House School, we believe that every pupil deserves the opportunity to achieve nationally recognised qualifications that reflect their abilities and prepare them for life beyond school.
Flexible accreditation
AQA Unit Awards allow pupils to gain recognition for small steps of achievement across a wide range of subjects.
Personalised learning
Each unit can be tailored to individual interests and abilities, ensuring that progress is meaningful and motivating.
Celebrating success
Pupils receive certificates for completed units, giving them tangible evidence of their achievements and building confidence.
Functional Skills
Some pupils at Vranch House work through our functional skills curriculum alongside the VIEW curriculum.
Core skills for independence
Functional Skills qualifications focus on practical English, Maths, and ICT skills that pupils need for everyday life.
Preparation for adulthood
By developing communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills, Functional Skills help pupils gain independence and prepare for further education, training, or supported employment.
Why This Matters
Inclusivity: Both AQA and Functional Skills provide accessible routes to achievement for pupils with complex needs.
Confidence building: Certificates and qualifications celebrate progress, no matter how small, and encourage pupils to take pride in their learning.
Future focus: These programmes ensure that pupils leave Vranch House with recognised skills and achievements that support their transition into adult life.
